Dear Family, Friends and Collectors. Life is an amazing unpredictable ride. The very reson for this letter. For the past 1 and 1/2 years my brother has been battling "Acute Leukemia". As I'm sure you have known of other cases, its a long, tough road. Chris has fought hard and has been able, through Doctor Deeke, to put the leukemia in remission. The Doctor knew he would take chances with his heart and lungs through severe chemo ...to save him. He now has one collapsed lung and about 70% heart working. That leads to inflamation of the body and accumulation of fluids. He's very weak and its going to take a year of rehabilitation to strenghthen his heart and then proceed to his lungs. WE BELIEVE HE WILL MAKE IT THROUGH THIS! About 4 months back, Chris caught pneumonia and at that time thought he would not make it. God must have a different plan. Although he is insured and monies have been used in savings, after the first 1 1/2 years and another year of recovery without work, my brother has depleted his financial situation. His sweet wife Belinda, has become his full time caretaker and he has one 14 year old son, my nephew Alex. Any contribution of $100 or more. I will send a limited edition print of "The Road to Borlena" (visit:http://www.rodiaz.com/roadtoborlena.html) as a THANK YOU to you. Not a purchase. You should be able to get a tax deduction. Please send any check addressed to: CHRIST COMMUNITY CHURCH, and in the subject line write: For Benevolence Program. Please send all checks to me at: Rolando Diaz 1409 S. Lamar St. #716, Dallas, Tx 75215. Please make sure your address is clear so I can mail you the limited edition print valued at $300 with certificate of authenticity. I am also open to doing any private special event at a LOWER COST or any sale of original work. Thank you for your consideration. s/Rolando Diaz |
